Our beloved Pastor Winway had gone to be with the Lord on Wednesday March 3rd, 2010 at 7:30PM
On November 16th, 2009, Winway went for a checkup after feeling ill; the doctor found something in his lungs, after further investigation, the diagnosis was stage 4 lung cancer. After a thorough and much consideration, he believed only God can heal him. He decided not to go to the hospital to receive the chemo therapy; instead, he would spend quality time at home with his wife and son. During this period of time, he adjusted his diet, and lived by the principles of God’s words, do not tempt God and worship God each day, he led a positive and joyful life, full of faith and the glory of God, he was truly our model.
On March 3rd at around 2PM, he felt the shortness of breath, he agreed to receive suction at the hospital but would return home right afterward. The doctor performed drainage due to his Pleural Effusion, at 7:30PM Winway was taken into the glory of Heaven.
Pastor Winway is a hero of faith. He knew who he believed in; he would glorify Him in everything he did.
Pastor Winway was a man of vision and passion He was extremely humble, he never brags about his talent or achievements. He would spend his life to bring forward life in others; he would give anything to build others up, helping others to come into their destinies and the purpose of their lives. He was a mentor and a counselor, he poured out his knowledge, his life, teach and direct those who were lost return to their passion in God. He was a disciple who passionately loved Jesus; many leaders were raised up because of him. He was a revivalist, he would make every effort to pass on his passion; he especially encourage young people to involve themselves in the revival of youth in the city, through SHINE to connect the youth ministry across the churches in the city. He was a man with great characters, he was righteous and merciful. He was a joyful man, he told countless jokes. He was emotionally stable, always greet people with smiles. He was full of knowledge and information; he is always ready to share with others. He was a loving and patient man; you can talk to him about anything.
